{"id":6293,"date":"2020-11-01T07:28:04","date_gmt":"2020-11-01T07:28:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.seafood-harvest.com\/?p=6293"},"modified":"2023-01-23T11:17:07","modified_gmt":"2023-01-23T18:17:07","slug":"octopus-in-spicy-soy-dressing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.seafood-harvest.com\/index.php\/2020\/11\/01\/octopus-in-spicy-soy-dressing\/","title":{"rendered":"Octopus in Spicy Soy Dressing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5944\" src=\"https:\/\/www.seafood-harvest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Seafood-News-2b-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.seafood-harvest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Seafood-News-2b-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.seafood-harvest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Seafood-News-2b.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This unusual octopus appetizer comes to us from De Tropen.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>1 small fresh octopus, cleaned and cut into small pieces<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon minced garlic<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon grated ginger<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons minced scallions<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon minced <em>rawit<\/em> Indonesian chiles, or substitute jalape\u00f1os<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>A few drops of sesame oil<\/li>\n<li>1 cup soy sauce<\/li>\n<li>2 cups vegetable oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the garnish: Minced cilantro, chopped European cucumber, sliced <em>djersek poeroet<\/em> (Indonesian lime)<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Divide the octopus into four servings and place on plates.<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl, combine the garlic, ginger, scallions, chiles, salt, sesame oil and soy sauce.<\/li>\n<li>Place the vegetable oil in a saucepan and heat it until smoking.
