Milder fresh chiles can also be substituted to tame down this dish. <em>Note<\/em>: This recipe requires advance preparation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Grilled Tomatillo Shrimp Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>2 tomatillos<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons minced onion<\/li>\n<li>1 clove garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup lime juice, fresh preferred<\/li>\n<li>Freshly ground black pepper<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro<\/li>\n<li>1 pound shelled shrimp, tails left on<\/li>\n<li>4 to 6 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seafood-harvest.com\/?s=jalapeno\">jalape\u00f1os<\/a>, stems and seeds removed, cut in strips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Instructions<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Place the tomatillos on a hot skillet and roast for a couple of minutes or until blackened on all sides.<\/li>\n<li>Saute the onion and garlic in the oil until soft.<\/li>\n<li>Place the tomatillos, onion mixture, lime juice, and black pepper in a blender and puree until smooth. Stir in the cilantro.<\/li>\n<li>Marinate the shrimp in the mixture for an hour. Remove and thread on skewers along with the chile strips.
