And, speaking of packing a punch, Latin legends hold that ceviches are aphrodisiacs and will give a woman many sons. Note: This recipe requires advance preparation.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5992\" src=\"https:\/\/www.seafood-harvest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Reeling-in-the-Years.jpg\" alt=\"reeling in the years\" width=\"500\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.seafood-harvest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Reeling-in-the-Years.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.seafood-harvest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Reeling-in-the-Years-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Marinated Snapper Ingredients<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>2 pounds snapper or sole fillets, washed and cut into one inch strips<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup fresh lime juice<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup fresh lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup finely chopped red bell peppers<\/li>\n<li>1 large tomato, peeled, seeded, and chopped 2 fresh pimientos, seeds and stems removed, finely chopped, or substitute red bell pepper<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup finely chopped onions<\/li>\n<li>2 cloves garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons cilantro or Italian parsley, minced<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>2 fresh aj\u00ed chiles, seeds and stems removed, minced, or substitute yellow wax hot or jalape\u00f1os<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup white wine vinegar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Instructions<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Place the fillets in a ceramic bowl, pour the lemon and lime juice over them, and mix the fish gently to coat with the juices. Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate 8 hours or preferably overnight.<\/li>\n<li>Mix the remaining ingredients together and allow the mixture to stand at room temperature for one hour.<\/li>\n<li>Drain the fish and arrange it on lettuce leaves on 4 individual plates.
